The Bosch IQsight DINION thermal 8100i NBT-8701-F14VF is a VGA thermal bullet IP camera designed for medium-to-long-range perimeter detection and outdoor thermal surveillance. Using 640 x 480 thermal imaging, IVA Pro Perimeter, and a 14mm fixed athermalized lens, the NBT-8701-F14VF delivers stronger detection reach than the 70° VGA model while maintaining a practical 31° field of view for many perimeter applications.
This model is well suited for fence lines, industrial yards, utility substations, transportation facilities, commercial perimeters, port areas, critical infrastructure, remote gates, and perimeter approaches where visible-light cameras may be limited by darkness, glare, smoke, fog, or shadows. Thermal imaging detects heat signatures instead of relying on reflected visible light, improving situational awareness in zero lux environments.
The NBT-8701-F14VF uses an uncooled VOx thermal sensor with 640 x 480 resolution, 12μm pixel pitch, 30Hz frame rate, and <30mK NETD sensitivity. Its 14mm lens provides a 31° horizontal field of view and 23° vertical field of view. IVA Pro Buildings and IVA Pro Perimeter provide intelligent detection and tracking of persons, bikes, cars, and trucks, with AI-based autocalibration to simplify setup.
Maximum IVA Pro Perimeter detection range for the 31° VGA lens is approximately 194m / 637ft for upright persons, 116m / 381ft for crawling persons, and 349m / 1145ft for frontal vehicles under optimal conditions. The camera includes H.265 compression, four configurable streams, 12 thermal color modes, dual microSD slots, alarm I/O, audio I/O, RJ45 and punch-down Ethernet, optional fiber support, TPM cybersecurity, and ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M.
For rugged deployments, the Bosch IQsight DINION thermal 8100i NBT-8701-F14VF includes IP66/IP67 weather protection, IK10 impact resistance excluding front window, UL50 Type 4X protection, aluminum housing, germanium glass window, automatic window defroster, automatic interior heater, -40°C to +55°C operation, and NDAA/TAA compliance.
