The Bosch IQsight DINION thermal 8100i NBT-8701-F42VF is the longest-range VGA model in the DINION thermal 8100i family, designed for ultra-long-range perimeter detection, critical infrastructure protection, and mission-critical outdoor surveillance. With a 42mm fixed athermalized lens, 640 x 480 VGA thermal imaging, and IVA Pro Perimeter, the NBT-8701-F42VF provides the narrowest field of view and longest thermal detection distances in this set.
The NBT-8701-F42VF uses a 10° horizontal field of view and 8° vertical field of view for targeted long-distance monitoring of fence lines, roads, borders, utility corridors, restricted zones, remote gates, transportation routes, industrial perimeters, and large-area infrastructure sites. Thermal imaging enables the camera to detect heat signatures in zero lux conditions and in visually difficult environments affected by fog, smoke, glare, shadows, or sudden lighting changes.
The camera captures 640 x 480 thermal video at up to 30Hz using an uncooled VOx microbolometer with 12μm pixel pitch and <30mK NETD sensitivity. IVA Pro Buildings and IVA Pro Perimeter support reliable detection and tracking of persons, bikes, cars, and trucks. AI-based autocalibration simplifies setup for perimeter analytics.
Maximum IVA Pro Perimeter detection range for the 10° VGA lens is approximately 586m / 1923ft for upright persons, 327m / 1072ft for crawling persons, and 981m / 3217ft for frontal vehicles under optimal conditions. The NBT-8701-F42VF also includes H.265/H.264/M-JPEG compression, four configurable streams, 12 selectable thermal color modes, dual microSD recording, audio and alarm I/O, RJ45 and punch-down Ethernet, optional fiber support, ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M, TPM cybersecurity, signed firmware, secure boot, and NDAA/TAA compliance.
Built for harsh outdoor use, the Bosch IQsight DINION thermal 8100i NBT-8701-F42VF includes IP66/IP67 weather protection, IK10 impact resistance excluding front window, UL50 Type 4X protection, aluminum housing, germanium glass window, automatic window defroster, automatic interior heater, and -40°C to +55°C operation.
