The Bosch IQsight DINION thermal 8100i NBT-8700-F18QF is the longest-range QVGA model in the DINION thermal 8100i family. Designed for perimeter intrusion detection and long-distance thermal monitoring, the NBT-8700-F18QF uses heat-based imaging to detect people and vehicles without visible light, making it effective in complete darkness, smoke, fog, glare, shadows, and challenging outdoor conditions.
This model features an 18mm fixed athermalized lens with a narrow 12° horizontal field of view and 9° vertical field of view. It is best suited for long fence lines, remote gates, border-style perimeter views, industrial sites, transportation corridors, utility infrastructure, and high-security applications where longer-range QVGA thermal detection is needed.
The NBT-8700-F18QF captures 320 x 240 QVGA thermal video at up to 30Hz using an uncooled VOx microbolometer with 12μm pixel pitch and <30mK NETD sensitivity. Built-in IVA Pro Buildings and IVA Pro Perimeter provide intelligent classification for persons, bikes, cars, and trucks, while AI-based autocalibration simplifies setup.
Maximum IVA Pro Perimeter detection range for the 12° QVGA lens is approximately 250m / 820ft for upright persons, 149m / 489ft for crawling persons, and 447m / 1467ft for frontal vehicles under optimal conditions. The camera supports H.265 video compression, four streams, thermal color mapping, dual microSD recording, audio I/O, alarm I/O, RJ45 and punch-down Ethernet, optional fiber support, ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M, TPM security, signed firmware, secure boot, and NDAA/TAA compliance.
